The All Party Parliamentary Group on Debt and Personal Finance brings together MPs and peers to discuss and debate issues around debt and personal finance.
The Group was established in 2003 and provides an opportunity for liaison between Members and organisations with an interest in these issues.
The Group holds a range of meetings and events throughout the year. Recent meetings have covered issues such as the Children and Debt, the Rent to Own sector and the Credit Card market.
There are over thirty members of the group, drawn from both Houses of Parliament and across all the political parties.
The Secretariat for the Group is provided by StepChange Debt Charity and funding for the group’s activities is provided by the subscriptions levied on affiliate members. See a full list of the Group’s affiliate members.
The Group’s full Parliamentary register can be found here. To find out more about the Group please contact the APPG Secretariat.
